More than 1.50 lakhs people are homeless and 392 distribution centres and 427 relief camps have been set up by the district administrators.

Bollywood actor and 2.0 villain Akshay Kumar donated Rs. 1 crore to the CM's fund and the national park where a rhino died due to floods. Athlete Hima Das who hails from Assam has donated her salary for the relief funds.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli tweeted "Heartbroken to hear the devastation caused by the floods in Assam. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected out there. #PrayForAssam" speaking about the suffering of people due to flood.

However, people want him to take one step further and donate for the victims of the flood replying to his tweet.
