Times Now reports saying that a fake news of WhatsApp introducing a third blue tick for chats being read by the government is doing rounds online.

However, WhatsApp chats are end-to-end encrypted and no third-party can read the chats. WhatsApp, of late, has been dealing with fake news crisis and had even limited forwarding messages to only five chats at once in India.
