Newly Wed Groom Dies, 95 People Who attended Wedding Test Positive For COVID-19!
Home > News Shots > India newsIn a village at Patna, a 30 year-old groom passed away with the symptoms of coronavirus.Around 95 people who attended the wedding, have tested positive for the virus.
The groom was cremated by the family, without being tested for the virus, in spite of having had the symptoms. After the cremation the district administration in Patna was informed and the close relatives of the couple were initially tested. All 15 tests conducted came out to be positive for the virus.
The administration started tracing the contacts of those who attended the wedding and cited that a mass spread has taken place in Bihar. As per the police reports, the groom returned to his village in May for his wedding. During his stay, he had developed all the symptoms of the virus, but his family went ahead with the wedding preparations. The police also informed that the social distancing norms were not followed as only 50 people were allowed to be present at weddings but the couple had invited 95.
Two days post his wedding day (June 15), his health deteriorated and he died. Although a total of 95 relatives who attended and came in contact with the groom tested positive, the bride tested negative for the virus.
