Newborn girl baby nibbled by rats, found dead in police compound

In a shocking and sad case, a newborn was found dead in the compound of Bengaluru's Jalahalli traffic police station. This incident came to light on March 25, when Salma, sweeper of the police station who was cleaning the compound in the morning noticed the newborn lying dead.

In minutes, traffic police informed Jalahalli's law-and-order police about the incident, so that the culprits can be tracked down. 

According to Times of India (ToI), rats had nibbled the baby's leg and after the autopsy was done the cops performed her last rites in Jalahalli burial ground. Police suspect that the offenders dropped the baby over a four-foot-high compound wall and ran away from the scene on the night of March 24.

The police are yet to find the cause of the incident and are probing into the matter to trace the culprits.They also assured to trace the culprits and nab them soon as possible.
