An intoxicated man allegedly urinated on the seat on a woman passenger on-board an Air India international flight. The news has prompted the Civil Aviation Ministry to seek a report from the national carrier.

Indrani Ghosh, the daughter of a woman passenger, tweeted about the incident that occurred on August 30, on Air India flight AI 102 from New York to New Delhi. According to the tweet, the drunk man fumbled across the woman's seat, unzipped his pants, and urinated on her.

Indrani has hit out at Air India for failing to take any action against the man. She claimed that the crew only gave her mother a new seat. She has also claimed that her mother, while waiting for a wheelchair at the airport, saw the man walk away freely.

Junior Aviation Minister Jayant Sinha has taken the case forward, and has ordered a report from Air India. "@airindia, please follow up immediately and report back to MoCA/DGCA. Very unfortunate that your mother had to go through this harrowing experience," Sinha said in a tweet.
