A government hospital doctor, Dr Ashraf Badr, in Jharkhand will be dismissed after he prescribed a condom to a 55-year-old woman for stomach ache, reports India Times.

A three-member committee confirmed the charges and following which his dismissal order was passed. The woman alleged in her complaint that the doctor prescribed 'condom nirodh' for stomach pain on July 23.

“The order to dismiss accused Dr Ashraf Badr has come from the state health department. We will put it in the meeting of the district health society as soon as the DC returns to the city,” East Singhbhum’s civil surgeon told Hindustan Times.

He was charged with misconduct in the past and was also dismissed once. He said that he will challenge the decision in court.
