Six Family Members Die 'One-by-One' just in 16 Days - Shocking Details!
Home > News Shots > India news The novel coronavirus has sent a shockwave in Jharkhand’s Dhanbad after six people from a family passed away due to the coronavirus infection. Within a span of 16 days, the family of seven tested positive for the infection among whom, six died.
Danbad’s border along West Bengal has been closed completely in order to contain the spread. Further, the locals are fearing this deadly mutated virus in their locality, thereby getting a precautionary test done.
Among the 6 deceased persons, the elderly mother aged 88, had tested positive first and died. She had recently attended a wedding at Delhi after which she returned home. She fell sick and passed away. Her coronavirus result came only after her funeral was conducted. Shortly after, all 6 of her sons tested positive for the infection. There were admitted to RIMS hospital in Ranchi.
On Monday night, the 5th son passed away. The 6th son is currently admitted but is in a better condition. All the deceased from the family, however, were over 50 years of age and some had other ailments as well. Dr.Devesh of the COVID department at RIMS said that this incident has made the doctors and nurses who were treating the family, upset.
Dr,Brijesh Mishra, Nodal officer of RIMS said that the doctors put their heart and soul into treating the patients and that this incident has shook them. He further added that this has sent a message to the society and has highlighted the importance of prevention.
