In a fit of rage owing to domestic problems, financial woes and a recent family quarrel, Nand Kishore, a 55-year-old bicycle mechanic, allegedly murdered his 22-year-old daughter and left his wife and another daughter badly injured at their home in south Delhi’s Sangam Vihar on Tuesday, a report in the Hindustan Times says.
Kishore allegedly used the axle of a cycle-rickshaw to attack his wife and daughters while they were asleep. Police said Kishore’s wife and another daughter managed to survive only because their son woke up in time and stopped their father. Kishore’s wife remains critical while his other daughter is reported to have survived the massacre.
