A doctor from a mohalla (community) clinic in North-East Delhi has tested positive for Coronavirus. His wife and daughter were also found to be infected and have been admitted to a hospital.

It is not yet known if the doctor had a history of foreign travel or came in contact with somebody who did.

People who visited the clinic in Maujpur between March 12 and 18 have been instructed to go on quarantine and report if they experience Coronavirus symptoms.

Mohalla clinics are community health centres set up by the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Government to offer primary healthcare services to economically weaker sections of society.

The Delhi government has started issuing e-passes for delivery executives and sellers of essential commodities to differentiate them from curfew violators.

Addressing a news conference with Lt Governor Anil Baijal, Arvind Kejriwal said people can walk down to nearby shops to buy necessary items without any pass.

Landlords who ask health workers to move out will face strict action. We have arranged for food for poor in our night shelters, free ration for 72 lakh beneficiaries, increased pension rates under widow, elderly and physically disabled schemes, Mr Kejriwal said.
