Class 2 girl allegedly raped by electrician at school

An electrician has been arrested in Delhi on charges of raping a Class 2 girl student of a government school. The electrician allegedly gagged the child, dragged her to a water pump in the school premises and raped her on Thursday.

Police sources said the incident came to light when the minor girl narrated her ordeal to her parents after returning home on the same day. The accused was reportedly picked up from a line-up by the young survivor.

"He was arrested from the school on Thursday after the victim identified him," Deputy Commissioner of Police Madhur Verma was quoted as saying.
