Data show BJP losing power in Indian states!
Home > News Shots > India newsDespite winning the Lok Sabha elections a few months earlier, BJP is struggling to keep up their hold in the Indian states.
As of 2017, BJP or its allies were in power in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh and also in the Northeastern part of India.
Data show that BJP was in power in about 71% of the land, says Puthiya Thalaimurai report. However, now they have seemed to have lost power in many states including Maharashtra.
Now BJP has lost power in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand. However, they have won Karnataka, Sikkim and Tripura. However, the map shows the decline of BJP power in the states, the report adds.
