Crime:CRPF Jawan shoots Wife and Children dead, Kills Self! Report
Home > News Shots > India newsVinod Kumar Yadav, a member of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), hanged himself on Saturday, after having shot his entire family. The incident is said to have happened in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh.
The Times of India reported that the incident is believed to have taken place around 6 am at the CRPF Ground Centre at Padila under Tharwai police station. According to SSP Prayagraj, Satyarth Aniruddha Pankaj, “The CRPF personal, named Vinod Kumar Yadav (aged 41) belonged to 224 Battalion of CRPF and posted as a driver. The jawan was a resident of Sirsa area of Meja Tehsil in Prayagraj and he was residing at the CRPF Group Centre in Padila along with his entire family.”
The SSP added that Yadav had first shot his wife, Vimala followed by his 14-year-old son and his 12-year-old daughter. After shooting them, he hanged himself, and committed suicide.
As soon as the information reached the senior officials, they rushed to the spot. “The exact cause behind the jawan’s action is being ascertained by the police but initial reports and circumstances lead to an argument and fight with his wife is believed to have triggered the incident,” the SSP said.
The police officials will conduct a detailed investigation soon, to find the reason.
