India Reports More Than 6,000 Positive Cases, While Death Toll Highest In 24 Hours
Home > News Shots > India newsThe total number of positive coronavirus cases in India has climbed to 6,412. This figure includes 5,709 active cases while 504 have been either cured or discharged. Shockingly, this deadly COVID-19 has killed 199 people in the country, with 33 new cases reported in the last 24 hours.
According to the Union health ministry, the highest number of cases have been reported from Maharashtra, with 1,364 people testing positive while Tamil Nadu reports 834 cases, Delhi shows 720 and Telangana has reported 442 cases.
Yesterday, Odisha became the first state to extended the lockdown till April 30 after reporting 44 coronavirus cases.
