COVID-19: Tamil Nadu Reports 86 New Cases, Total Cases Now at 571
Home > News Shots > India newsTamil Nadu on Sunday reported 86 new Coronavirus cases taking the total number of positive cases to 571, State Health Secretary Beela Rajesh told reporters. Of the 86 new cases, 85 cases are linked to the Delhi Nizamuddin conference.
Chennai has the highest number of Coronavirus cases in Tamil Nadu (95), followed by Coimbatore where 58 cases have been reported so far.
As per Tamil Nadu Heath Department’s latest data, the state government has screened 2,10,538 passengers and has isolated 1848 suspected individuals in hospitals.
The state government has tested 4612 samples of which 571 have tested positive. Results of 339 samples are awaited. Of the 1246 people who attended the Delhi Nizamuddin conference, 522 have tested positive.
