After Prime Minister Narendra Modi advised people to stay behind closed doors and called for a “janta curfew” on March 22 in order to prevent the further spread of the Coronavirus, India skipper Virat Kohli and his wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma took to Twitter to share an awareness video.

“We know we are all going through a very difficult time. And the only way to stop the spread of the Coronavirus is by acting together. We are staying in home for our safety and for everyone else’s as well. And you should do it too to prevent the further spread of the virus. Let’s make it safe for us and for everyone else by self-isolation. Stay home and stay healthy,” said the celebrity couple in the 22-second video.

The post attracted huge attention in a short time as fans started flooding the comments section with appreciation messages for the duo’s “responsible” act.

As on Friday, 5 persons have lost their lives and over 200 have tested positive for the disease in India. Several state governments have issued strict guidelines to contain the spread.
