COVID-19 Cases In India Crosses 12,000 Mark With More Than 35 Deaths In 24 Hours
Home > News Shots > India newsThe recent government data shows, the COVID-19 pandemic has killed 414 in India so far, with 37 deaths reported in the last 24 Hours. Currently, the number of people infected by the coronavirus in the country has increased to 12,380 today.
Yesterday, the Centre released a list of 170 hotspot districts, which includes all six metro cities and other larger cities. Meanwhile, the list also marks 123 districts along with nine districts of national capital Delhi.
Looking at the list, Mumbai, Kolkata, nine districts of Bengaluru Urban, Hyderabad, Chennai, Jaipur and Agra are among the areas marked hotspots on the list.
As per the Union health ministry, with rise in positive coronavirus cases to 12,380, there are 10,477 active cases while 1,489 have been either cured or discharged.
Looking at the state wise rise, Maharashtra has the highest number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in India- 2,916, which is followed by Delhi at 1,578 and Tamil Nadu at 1,242.
