Tata Motors fined for selling used car as new

A dealer of Tata Motors in Chandigarh Banarsi Das Automobiles has been in the dock for selling a vehicle that had met with an accident as 'new' and was fined Rs 1 lakh by the district redressal forum. It further asked the company to replace the car or return the original amount paid along with interest.

Atul Kumar Aggarwal had approached the forum after the 'new' car he bought continually gave problems. Even after the dealer provided with treatment for the car, a few problems post which the victim approached the consumer court.
