As the government said that the CBSE class 10 and 12 exams will be suspended and results will be declared by July 15, here's how the marks will be calculated.

Based on instructions from the Ministry of Human Resource and Development (HRD), the evaluation process was being carried out by the staff from home.

In case a class 12 student is not satisfied with the marks provided under the special scheme, they have the choice to appear for a later exam. The dates for the later exams have not been announced yet.

The exam was not held for some 40-odd subjects. For students of class 10 and 12 who have completed all their exams, marks will be declared based on performance.

In case if a student has appeared for more than three subjects,  the ‘average of marks obtained in best three performing subjects’ will be awarded for subjects for which the exam was not held.

For students who have appeared for only three subjects, the average of marks obtained in ‘best two performing subjects’ will be awarded for papers for which exam was not held.

In case if a student has appeared for only 1 or 2 subjects, the result will be calculated based on performance in appeared subjects and performance in internal or practical or project-based assessment.
