Highway, Alcohol Bottles and Burnt Woman Body; Police Investigation Begins
Home > News Shots > India newsOn Thursday (Feb 13) the burnt body of a woman was found in an isolated field in Kuruvanchery near a highway in Thrissur, Kerala as reported by The News Minute.
Reportedly the body was spotted around 8 am today which was confirmed by Wadakkancherry police. “Prima facie, it looks like the body was burnt three to four days ago," an official told TNM.
“A few alcohol bottles were found on the field, although we cannot establish, as yet, if these bottles have any relation with the crime,” added the official.
Further briefing about the incident, the official had said that there were no signs if the body was burnt at the spot."We are still questioning people in the locality. But we are treating this as a murder case," said the official.
The incident has come into light after the brutal rape and murder of a 26-year-old Hyderabad veterinary doctor Disha on November 28 2019. Later 4 people - Areef, Shiva, Naveen and Chennakeshavulu were accused and arrested in the case followed by an investigation. On December 6 2019, all the 4 were shot dead in an alleged encounter by the Hyderabad police.
