Actor Akshay Kumar Launches 'FAU-G', a New Action Game after PUBG Ban: Details Here!

Days after the Indian government put a ban on PUBG MOBILE along with other 118 Chinese apps, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar announced a multiplayer action-game, FAU-G. 

As per NDTV reports, this game will soon be launched as an Indian multiplayer game which is being published by Bengaluru-based nCore games which counts Indian gaming industry veteran Vishal Gondal as an investor. 

The game FAU-G is short for Fearless and United-Guards and has pledged to donate 20 percent of its revenue to the government's fund for paramilitary forces called Bharat Ke Veer set up after the 2019 Pulwama terror attack, NDTV further reported.

In the wake of the coronavirus crisis and in line with PM Narendra Modi's vision of "Atmanirbhar Bharat", actor Akshay Kumar took to his social media account and said; "Supporting PM @narendramodi’s AtmaNirbhar movement, proud to present an action game,Fearless And United-Guards FAU-G. Besides entertainment, players will also learn about the sacrifices of our soldiers. 20% of the net revenue generated will be donated to @BharatKeVeer Trust #FAUG."

Even Congress leader Milind Deora promoted the venture as well. According to reports, there are close to 50 million active PUBG players in India and the game clocks in some 13 million daily users.
The game is expected to launch at the end of October with its first-level set in the Galwan Valley backdrop followed by third-person shooting gameplay in the subsequent releases. The game will be available on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, ET reports. 

Founder and Chairman of the gaming publisher, Vishal Gondal, said: "It is a matter of great pride to respond to PM Modi's call and present the world a world-class game, which will not only help gamers in a virtual setting fight the forces of evil; but also positively contribute to nation-building by supporting our martyrs."
