A man from Mumbai lost his son three years ago after he fell down a pothole. Following the tragic incident, the man took it upon himself and started filling up potholes around the city.
Dadarao Bilhore's son Prakash died on July 28, 2015, after falling inside a pothole along with his bike. Ever since, Bilhore has been filling up potholes in Mumbai. Reportedly, Bilhore filled up his 556th pothole on Sunday.
Speaking to the media, Bilhore said, “I don't want people to face the same fate as my son, Prakash. I will keep working till India becomes pothole-free.” He also reportedly added that the country has a huge population and it will become pothole-free if even one lakh people start filling potholes.
