This award show was started in the year 2014 and is conducted annually in a grand manner. However, due to the Coronavirus outbreak, the event was not held in 2020-2021.
The 8th Behindwoods Gold Medals will be held this year and this time it is not limited only for a day but was announced to be held on two Sundays - May 15 and 22 at the Island Grounds in Chennai from 6pm to 11.30pm which will be attended by over 20000 people.
But now, team Behindwoods is rescheduling the May 15th event date to May 21st due to non-stop rain. The Behindwoods Events team hasn't been able to complete the stage works due to rain which as per weather reports is expected to continue till Sunday this week.
