Tragic! 8-year-old boy goes for fun ride at Marina beach, dies
Home > News Shots > India newsIn a shocking case, an eight-year-old boy allegedly died of head injuries after bring caught in a merry go round at Marina beach. The boy has been identified as P Pranav, who had gone to the beach along with his father Padmanaban.
According to The New Indian Express report, a joy ride on the merry-go-round turned fatal for an eight-year-old boy after he fell from it and hurt his head at the Marina beach. He was immediately rushed to the hospital where they declared him brought dead. His body was then moved to the government hospital for autopsy.
Meanwhile, police officer said “Pranav wanted to play in the merry-go-round and his father too allowed him to do so. He was standing near him and watching his son play. Prakash, who was in-charge of the game stall, had allegedly made Pranav stand on the rods in between the equipment."
"As the merry-go-round began spinning, Pranav reportedly fell and hurt his head, sustaining severe injuries,” police officer added.
Media reports further state that, the police have currently detained Prakash for inquiry. The owner of the shop is Subramani, father of Prakash. Further investigations are on in this matter.
