6-year-old boy found dead inside the ‘Locked’ School Toilet; Reasons Revealed!

A group of school students allegedly pranked a Class 1 student and locked him inside the school’s restroom for hours which resulted in his death. The incident happened at a government school in Punganur, Andhra Pradesh on August 17. The victim was identified as Harshavardhan, a 6-year-old student.

Reportedly, the body was found in an unconscious state inside the restroom with doors locked from the outside. “The boy had gone to use the bathroom. He was found unconscious inside with the door locked from outside. The hostel warden, who opened the door after hearing some noise from the restroom, rushed him to a local government hospital where he was pronounced dead while receiving treatment,” Police officer Arun Kumar was quoted as saying by TOI

According to the report by doctors, the boy had suffered from a severe fever which had indeed worsened the condition once he got locked inside the bathroom. The family members of the deceased staged a protest against the school management demanding immediate action on the concerned students. Further, the Education Department stated that an inquiry has been initiated and further details will be revealed soon.

Earlier, a Class 3 student was brutally murdered and found dead amidst a pool of blood in the washroom of a Government Hostel at Krishna District. Upon investigating the case, a 14-year- old Class 10 student was detained and it was revealed that he murdered the boy for trivial issues.
