After her story went viral, she has been offered a trial by the Cycling Federation of India. Not just that, Ivanka Trump, US president Donald Trump’s daughter, took to her social media account and lauded the girl. She described the act as a “beautiful feat of endurance and love”.

Ivanka, who is also advisor to the US president, shared an article by livemint.com and hailed the Bihar girl. She tweeted saying, “15 yr old Jyoti Kumari, carried her wounded father to their home village on the back of her bicycle covering +1,200 km over 7 days. This beautiful feat of endurance & love has captured the imagination of the Indian people and the cycling federation."

Highlighting about the cycling federation invite, Jyoti Kumari, will appear for a trial next month. This feat was provided to her after she pedalled her way to Bihar from Gurugram, by carrying her ailing father Mohan Paswan. She cycled for seven days and covered 1,200 km to get to Bihar’s Darbhanga.

Currently, both father and daughter are at a quarantine centre near their village Sirhulli.

“Amid the gloomy situation, Jyoti suggested that we return home. I pointed out that we would not be able to find any trains or buses soon and my condition would not allow me to walk. She said we should get a bicycle,” said Paswan.

“She is indeed my Shravan Kumar. The journey back home has been nothing short of a pilgrimage. Having arrived feels like salvation,” Paswan added.
