Video: Family Recreates Beach and Sea at Backyard to kill Lockdown Boredom!

A British family decided to build a beach in their backyard since they can’t step out. Many countries have imposed strict lockdowns in order to curb the spread of the novel Corona Virus. Likewise, UK residents have to comply with the government and maintain social distancing. 

The Woollons, residents of Bristol, recreated a beach in their backyard after finding sand and a few other items like deck chairs and padding pool in their garage. They made a makeshift beach after finding almost half a tonne of sand. Cocktails, floral dresses and beach themed shirts were also readied to create an authentic setup. 

According to Yahoo News, Amy Woollon proposed this idea after her father after they found sand in the garage. When her father expressed that it would have been fun to be at a beach instead of self-isolating, they decided to build this makeshift beach. NDTV quoted her saying, “We thought since we can’t go to the beach... why not bring the beach to us?”

Such videos of people recreating outdoor spaces at home, have surfaced in the internet earlier as well.  A couple in Australia recreating a cruise within their home is one such incident.
