The company is headquartered in New York, USA and is headed by Vishal Garg from India. He laid off 900 employees at his company in a single video call last December. It was hotly debated around the world. Moreover, the company had recently announced that it was going to lay off 35 per cent of its employees. It has been announced that the company will lay off 4,000 employees in India and the United States.
Vishal had announced that the employees would leave the company on their own and those who did so would be provided with adequate facilities and insurance.
Accumulated resignation letters
Vishal has now announced that 920 Indian employees working for Better.com have submitted their resignation letters, which have been accepted by the company.
Earlier, Vishal Garg had said, "We acknowledge the recruitment of more staff. We have hired the wrong people. I have failed. I have not done the right thing for the last 18 months, which could have resulted in a loss of up to US $ 200 million."
Furthermore, Garg stated that workers would be encouraged if they failed the first time and would not be allowed to fail again.
