‘Very Disappointed’: Sundar Pichai On Trump Administration’s Visa Suspension
Home > News Shots > Business newsPresident Trump on Monday announced that the H-1B, H-4, L1, and J1 visas will stay suspended temporarily until December 31, 2020. Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai Expressed his disappointment over this decision.
Pichai wrote on Twitter, "Immigration has contributed immensely to America's economic success, making it a global leader in tech, and also Google the company it is today. Disappointed by today's proclamation-we'll continue to stand with immigrants and work to expand opportunity for all."
This decision of Trump’s was taken to benefit native Americans as many have lost their jobs due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Pichai was not the only one who had commented on this issue. Michael Clemens, a senior employee at the Centre for Global Development said that this move will reduce job creation in the country and that the most educated and entrepreneurial people in the world will only get the chance to be working.
