Top Tech Giant to Create 1500 New Jobs! Corona crisis Over? A Report
Home > News Shots > Business newsTech Giant Microsoft recently announced that the company is going to invest $75 million in building a new office at Atlanta, Georgia by next year. They will create around 1500 new jobs in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cloud space.
The enterprise is planning to expand their operations in the midtown area in a facility in Atlantic Station district. The facility will also include a retail space which will be used for engaging directly with customers. It is set to become operational in the summer of 2021. It is going to be a client facing workplace that will focus on AI and cloud services mostly.
"We are excited that a global leader like Microsoft Corp. is expanding its investment in Georgia with tech jobs that will be truly beneficial to the company and our state," Governor Brian P. Kemp told the media.
"We are excited to expand our presence and further engage with the community and surrounding region, contributing positively to technical opportunity, digital fluency, and economic development," he added.
CNN News 18 cited Terrel Cox, general manager, Microsoft who said "Atlanta has a rich culture and history of innovation, making it a unique place for tech growth,"
Microsoft's new facility will be a client-facing workplace that will focus on AI and cloud services, including retail space for engaging directly with customers.
Midtown Atlanta is popular as a top innovation district and as a hub for tech companies. Microsoft operates a cloud computing engineering center in the Coda Building at Technology Square. The offices are located in Alpharetta and Buckhead in the state.
