TN Govt's New Guidelines for IT & ITES firms and Employees - Report
Home > News Shots > Business newsThe Tamil Nadu government on Friday modified its statement regarding the permission which was earlier awarded to IT/ ITeS companies to function in Tamil Nadu. Further, fresh set of guidelines were also issued.
The government now allows up to 50% of the workforce to work from office, within Greater Chennai police limits. Further, the order read that 90% of those employees must travel through office vehicles. “IT/ITeS companies are permitted to work with 50% of employee strength on their work premises, subject to the condition that 90% of the employees going to work place shall use company arranged common transport facilities,” the statement read.
All safety precautions are to be followed by the individuals and the social distancing protocols are to be adhered by.
However, the revenue and disaster management department recommended that the employers must encourage work from home for employees as far as possible.
Earlier on Thursday, the state government had permitted companies to work with only 10% of the employees at work premises.
