Home > News Shots > Business news As the Indian IT Giants have been facing problems due to the on-going global pandemic, hiring has slowed down. Recently, however, a large number of employees have been quitting their jobs.
The attrition rate at present, which represents the number of employees who are leaving the organisations has increased dramatically.
Wipro has reported that 13% of its employees have quit the organisation. Infosys has reported 11.7%, and TCS recorded 11.1%. Among the IT giants in India, HCL Technologies has reported 14.6%, the highest attrition of all.
Business Insider reported that the attrition numbers have dropped when compared to Q1-Q4 in FY20 when compared to the rate in Q1 FY21. However, these rates are considered to be high as the coronavirus pandemic has given birth to a cloud of uncertainties.
In Q1 of FY20, Wipro, Infosys, HCL Tech, and TCS reported attrition as follows; 17.6%, 20.2%, 17.3%, 11.5% respectively. Similarly in Q2 FY20 : 17%, 19.4%, 16.8%, and 11.6%; Q3 FY20 : 15.7%, 17.6%, 17.1%, and 12.2%; Q4 FY20 : 14.7%, 15.3%, 16.3%, and 12.1%.
TCS has been identified as the only IT which is lagging behind its peers from the above attrition rates.
