New Ticket Prices: Here is how Your Flight Tickets would Cost Now - Prices Listed!

All Air tickets are priced between Rs 2,000 and Rs 18,600 in seven bands depending upon the flight duration for the next three months, according to latest announcement made by government

Details about Ticket Fares Listed:

`1- Flights under 40 minutes will have a lower limit of Rs 2,000 and upper limit of Rs 6,000, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said. 

2- If the duration of the flight is between 40 to 60 minutes, the lower limit would be Rs 2,500 and upper limit would be 7,500. 

3- If the duration is between 60 and 90 minutes, it will be priced between Rs 3,000 and 9,000

4- For flights with duration between 90 and 120 minutes, the price will be between 3,500 and 10,000

5- Tickets on flights between 120 and 150 minutes (like the Delhi-Bengaluru route) the lower limit would be Rs 4,500 and upper limit would be 13,000

6- If the duration of the flight is between 150 and 180 minutes (like the Delhi-Imphal route), the lower fare will be Rs 5,500 and uupper fare will be Rs 15,700

7- Flight between 180 and 210 minutes, like the Delhi- Coimbatore route, will have a lower limit of Rs 6,500 and upper limit of 18,600

Apart from the pricing restrictions, other rules have also been brought into place. Some of which includes, using protective suits and goggles for flight attendants and stopping food services on board planes as per Civil Aviation Ministry’s announcements on Thursday. 

The airlines are commencing after almost a two- month shutdown due to COVID19

Temperature checks, face masks, shields, protective gear for crew are some of the regulations they highlighted.

"We are dealing with an extraordinary situation. If you don't fix it, it is entirely conceivable that fares would have sky-rocketed. We have to draw a balance between the requirements of the consumer and the viability of airlines," India's Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri told reporters.
