A programme of Microsoft is collaborating with Accenture to host the third edition of Accenture Ventures Challenge for Start-ups in India.

This challenge is to be held virtually on August 11, and will be recognising start-ups from across the country. This procedure will consider four main categories, Supply Chain Resilience, Channel Sift to digital commerce, Systems resilience, and responsible technology, the Hindu reported.

The Managing Director or Accenture Ventures and Open Innovation in India, Avnish Sabharwal said, “The ongoing business disruptions requires an urgent response, and we are confident that we’ll discover innovative new solutions from deep tech start-ups to help solve some of the most pressing business and human challenges being faced by organisations in India and across the globe.”

Lathika Pai, the Indian Head, Microsoft for Start-ups, MENA and SAARC, said, “The collaboration between Microsoft’s 100X100X100 and the Accenture Ventures Challenge will truly help start-ups evolve from being market-ready to enterprise-ready with the best resources and support from both Microsoft and Accenture.”

Accenture Ventures Challenge was launched in 2018, to identify the best B2B tech start-ups which develop solutions for real-world challenges. In this year’s edition, the challenge will identify 12 start-ups which are innovative in helping businesses to address the human impact of COVID-19. Hence it will test their innovation in the ‘never normal’ era.

The winners will be given an opportunity to join and co-create solutions for Accenture clients from across the globe. They will also get benefitted from “Microsoft ScaleUp Programme, which supports Seed or Series A B2B start-ups to scale” and co-sell with their sales team.
