Pune based KPIT Technologies has announced that half of its employees will permanently work from home. Until now. Around 2% of its employees have been working from home.
According to the President of KPIT, Sachin Tikekar, “Currently only 2 percent of our employees are working from home. KPIT has plans to bring up to 20 percent of employees back to work starting from January, assuming things will improve.”
For the long term policy, the firm is likely to reform its agendas. However, until the end of this year, the government has encouraged ITeS and other comapnies to adhere to their work from home models.
Previously several business giants including Twitter had announced that all their employees will work from home forever, since they managed to yield greater results. However, several Indian IT companies are reluctant about the same. They have enforced the fact that while some percent of their workforce will work from home permanently, they will require their workforce in the office to excel.
