HCL Tech, TCS, Wipro Make Every IT Professional Proud! Read To Know Why - Report

As a proud moment for all Indian IT companies, multinational information technology service HCL Technologies has been ranked as one of the top engineering service companies in the world. 

As per a Business Today report, the US research advisory Everest Group marked HCL in the third place in the ranking of biggest companies in engineering services globally. In CY 2019, the company witnessed a total revenue of $2.6 billion. 

HCL grabbed the third place, after a growth of 25 percent, the company witnessed one of the highest growths in the top 10 firms, Business Today further reported.

There were other companies who topped on the list with HCL like - TCS was ranked 7th and Wipro was ranked 10th while Infosys came on the 15th spot and Tech Mahindra was on the 18th spot.

Looking at the two top slots, which everyone eyed for were occupied by French firms Altran with revenues of $3.6 billion and $2.9 billion, respectively and Swedish engineering firm Afry, Austria-based AVL and Belgium-based AKKA Technologies added $2.09 billion, $2.21 billion and $2.02 billion in revenues, respectively, media reports also stated. 

Highlitening about the ranking of the companies, it is based on two criterias:

- Firstly, fifty of the largest service providers based on their calendar year engineering services revenue qualify for the ranking. 

- After that they are evaluated on the basis of their CY ES revenue and year-on-year growth. 

The CY revenue carries 75 percent weightage, while actual growth and percentage growth account for 12.5 percent weightage each, Business Today finally states.
