Companies across the globe are changing their strategies and involving work from home into their functional set-up. While many giants have announced work from home until the end of this year, some organisations such as Twitter are considering working from home ‘forever.’

Google on July 27 announced that most of its employees will be working from home until June 30, 2021. "To give employees the ability to plan ahead, we are extending our global voluntary work from home option through June 30, 2021 for roles that don't need to be in the office," said Sundar Pichai in a mail to his employees.

This news was reported by the Wall Street Journal first and their report claimed that all of the 2,00,000 google employees as well as the contractors from across the globe can expect an extension until January 2020. However, it has now been confirmed that the extension stands until the end of June next year, by Sundar Pichai, Chief Executive of Google.

There has been a growing fear and alarming concern among employees when it comes to returning to workplace normalcy.

As the novel coronavirus infection spread has not reduced in several countries including India, various Tech firms and ITeS are announcing work from home. This way, the spread of the virus can be capped and the employees can work from the comfort and safety of their homes.
