"Work From Home for the Rest of the Year" - Popular Automobile Company makes Important Announcement!
Home > News Shots > Business newsWhile many organisations including Twitter have extended the work-from-home model for employees across the globe, Ford Motor Co. has been added to the list.
“As we make plans to bring back the remote workforce, many team members favoured these new ways to work and found them empowering, flexible and cost effective,” Ford said in a statement. “This has inspired us to expand the optionality for this work arrangement beyond September.”
From June 18, the automaker will determine the work arrangements for 2021. White collar workers can either work from home, in the office or work out a combination of both.
This decision to retain work-from-home model is now introduced only to the salaried employees in the U.S. This decision comes after its employees tested positive for the coronavirus although Ford had said that the contagion was contracted outside the office premises.
In its statement, the company also said that the safety protocols are adequate and that the factory employees are provided with enough Personal Protective Equipment.
