Covid-19: Ola Waives Off Rental Fee for Leased Cars!
Home > News Shots > Business newsApp-based cab segregator Ola has decided to waive off lease rentals, akin to an EMI, its driver-partners who operate vehicles owned by the company's subsidiary, Ola Fleet Technologies, are supposed to pay daily.
"We can confirm that we are fully waiving away lease rentals, akin to an EMI, for driver-partners who operate vehicles owned by Ola's subsidiary, Ola Fleet Technologies under its leasing programme," the company said in a statement.
"Driver-Partners who are currently in distress due to the temporary lockdowns to arrest the contagion of COVID-19 will stand to benefit with the reduced economic burden during these times," it added.
Unlike its rival Uber which has suspended operations completely, Ola continues to offer its cab services for emergency reasons.
On Saturday, Ola announced a 30,000 Rupees coverage of driver-partners or their spouses who are infected by Coronavirus. A compensation package at Rs 1,000 per day for a maximum of 3 weeks was also announced to cover the loss of income.
Ola has also ensured online doctor consultations for the affected driver-partners and their families.
