COVID-19: Jio, Airtel, Vodafone, BSNL Offer Extra Talktime, Extend Validity!
Home > News Shots > Business newsAs India is under a complete lockdown and most people are working from home, telecom companies including Reliance Jio, Vodafone, Airtel and BSNL have extended the validity of the prepaid plans to April 17 and also credited Rs 10 talktime in the accounts of the low-income customers.
Bharti Airtel has extended the validity of prepaid plans till April 17, 2020, for low-income customers. The company has said that it would credit Rs 10 talktime in the accounts of 80 million customers.
Following Airtel, Jio announced that it would provide 100 minutes of talktime and 100 text messages to all of its users till April 17, 2020.
Vodafone too announced that it would extend the validity of prepaid plans and credit Rs 10 talktime for low-income customers who use feature phones.
State-run network operators MTNL and BSNL have also announced that they would extend the validity of prepaid plans till April 20. They will also credit the accounts of their customers with Rs 10 even if they have zero balance.
