'ATM Cash Withdrawal Rules to Change from July 1' - Here's What you Need to Know

Few of the withdrawal norms were relaxed during the lockdown but now, they will be tightened and the deadline to do so is 30th June 2020. If further extension is not announced, the old rules will be reinstated and would come into effect.
All ATMs set their own rules for ATM Withdrawal.
Here are the ATM withdrawal rules of the country’s largest lender, State Bank of India (SBI)
- In a month, 8 free transactions will be allowed for SBI's regular savings account holders in a metro city.
- Customers will be charged on each transaction above 8 transactions.
- Customers are allowed to do 5 transactions from SBI ATMs and 3 transactions from any other bank.
- 10 free ATM transactions are allowed for customers from non-metro cities, 5 from SBI ATMs and 5 transactions from any other bank.
- Rs 20 + GST will be charged for cash transactions.
- Rs 8 + GST will be levied on Non cash transactions
