Amazon doubles hiring; 2,00,000 jobs to be filled!
Home > News Shots > Business newsAmazon hires people to fill temporary jobs during the busy holiday season. This year, they are planning to double up their last year's hire and take 2,00,000 people.
The big number also shows how Amazon is growing as an online shopping giant. In order to keep up with the orders, Amazon has been opening warehouses, hubs and stations.
They are also planning to speed up their delivery for their Prime members to one day.
Usually retailers hire in smaller numbers. Kohl has planned to hire 90,000 just like they did two years ago and Target has increased their number by 4%, planning to hire 13,000 people this year.
