88% Indian Employees Prefer Work from Home; Survey Shows Productivity Stats: Details Here!
Home > News Shots > Business newsAs work from home has become the new normal for working professionals, a new survey revealed that at least 88 percent of the Indian employees prefer to have the flexibility of working from home.
While 69 percent also believe that their productivity has increased while working remotely, a recent survey reports.
As per News18 media house, the survey was conducted by expense, travel and invoice management solutions provider SAP Concur, that shows merely 11 percent of Indian companies have embraced end-to-end digital finance and administrative processes.
While looking into a broader perspective; the survey further states that across India, 36 percent of mid-large sized companies are still using manual processes for submitting business expenses.
Also, manual processes in expense management and the resulting inefficiencies may be causing India estimated productivity losses of $2.25 billion per year. "Bringing in digital transformation for expense claims or invoice processing can have a huge multiplier effect on business and cost control and at the same time provide the operational agility needed for business continuity," Mankiran Chowhan, Managing Director-Indian Subcontinent, SAP Concur, said in a statement.
With this recent survey, the study talks about the current expense management systems' support for modern payment methods is inadequate, News18 further reports.
However, nearly 39 percent of respondents said they want their expense management software to integrate with external apps to enable added functionality like reimbursement of payments made through super apps. While 76 percent employees in India said their company provide subsidies for a mobile plan, broadband internet and IT peripherals.
Further looking into the survey, 22 percent Indian employees want their organisations to pay for all expenses needed for a productive working environment at home. Finally, the survey also revealed that 79 percent of employees working in India demand their overall finance and administrative experience of working for their organisations.
