Uber’s New Public Transport Service makes it ‘All in One’ App

The transportation company Uber has launched its first public transport service in New Delhi. Through the new service, the users could be able to plan their transit journey by tracking the real-time information and end-end directions. Uber announced the new service after cracking the public bid to provide its services across 210 DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) stations.

Dara Khosrowshahi the CEO of Uber is positive to establish a successful business turnover in India, though the company's loss ratio is growing globally. The option will be available on the Uber App alongside UberGo, Premier and Pool and users could make use of it after entering a destination.

Manik Gupta who is the chief product officer of Uber affirmed Uber's multiple facilities to favour the needs of people according to their comfort zone. “Whether cars, bikes, or public transport - all in the Uber app,” Gupta was quoted as saying by NMT.  Also, Uber in association with DMRC revealed their combined innovation of a 'Model Metro Station' that shall be implemented in the future.

Some of the highlights of the Uber platform include Go, Pool, Moto, Auto and WAV (Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles).  Reportedly, Uber’s new public transport facility in the application is seen as the way to understand people’s preferences before launching Uber Bus service through the app.

Referring Indian market, Dara Khosrowshahi was quoted as saying  “It’s a competitive market, where consumers are very demanding. They want, both, great prices and great services,” by ET.
