Mamangam is a period drama set against the backdrops of 1695 based on the religious festival, which was held once in 12 years at Thirunavaya across the banks of Bharatpuzha. The film features an ensemble cast which includes Mammootty, Unnimukundan, Achuthan, Sidhique, Manikkuttan, Manikandan Achary, Tarun Arora, Prachi Tehlan, Kaniha, Anu Sithara, Iniya and others in prominent roles.
Produced by Venu Kunnappilly under production banner Kavya Film Company, the film boasts of top-notch technical team - Shankar Ramakrishnan (Adapted screenplay), Ram (Dialogues) Manoj Pillai (Cinematography), Shaam Kaushal (Stunt), RC Kamala Kannan (Visual Effects), Raja Mohammad (Editor), M Jayachandran (Music).
The teaser of the film was released earlier and was well-received by the audiences. The versatile actor had surprised everyone in the team to have dubbed in Tamil by adapting the exact linguistic traits of ancient Tamil.
