Helen is a female-oriented movie associated with the life of the title character. The movie will see Vineeth Sreenivasan turning into a producer after his first production ‘Anandam’. Helen is directed by debutant Mathukutty Xavier. The movie is written by Alfred Kurian Joseph, Noble Babu Thomas and Mathukutty Xavier.

While speaking to Behindwoods Ice, director Mathukutty said, he hadn't fixed anybody to play the lead character, when he went to discuss the story to Lal (Director). “I didn’t have anybody in my mind when i went to Lal sir. He asked me, why don’t you think about Anna (Ben). She will be good…”, Lal sir said, according to the young director.

Talking more about the movie, Mathukutty also said that Anna was able to do the character without being dramatic and she did it in a realistic way. Talking about the poster of the movie which had highlighted Helen, the director said, it was our strategy to give importance to Helen as its her movie.

Mathukutty also was vocal about Vineeth Sreenivasan’s contributions to the movie. He said, Vineeth ettan (elder brother) decided to produce the movie as soon as he heard the story during their casual discussion. He was also good enough to share his experiences during the shooting of his earlier movies (Malarvadi Arts Club etc).

The director assured the movie to be a thriller. Helen will be released on November 15. The movie has Lal, new comer Nobel Thomas, Aju Varghese and others.
