Going through A perfect match, there was only one thought that was going through my mind – all through the eight and a half minutes. What’s the big fuss actually? Girl likes boy. Boy likes girl. Boy’s mother doesn’t like girl (no curveballs there). Boy suggests court marriage. Girl wants a dream wedding. Yawn. When did companionship become all about pomp and show? You keep wondering as to why the girl, in particular, doesn’t seem to get her priorities right.

Considering it’s a short film and much of the action happens inside a house, production values are more or less immaterial. Even the twist is not earth-shattering. And things are back to typical considering there wasn’t any real problem to begin with.

On the positives, the lead characters (Ashwani Kumar, Kalyani Pandit) are in perfect sync with each other and exhibit a natural chemistry.

Maybe the leads are in perfect match to each other considering how flippant their characters are. Let it all out on the off chance that you need to simply pass a couple of minutes and wouldn't fret a millennial couple bickering with one another.
