What is it about?
Munna Michael is a dance drama, and the film features Tiger Shroff, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and debutante Nidhhi Agerwal. Munna Michael envies Michel Jackson, and his wish is to become a dancer. His daily earnings are through the dance performances that he does in Mumbai's night clubs. One day Munna is not allowed to step inside any night clubs, and he moves to Delhi to earn money for his father's health treatment. He meets a gangster played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui who seeks a favor from Munna, and that becomes the plot of the film.
What makes up the film?
Munna Michael and Nidhhi's on-screen chemistry is too cute to watch. Nidhhi's dance moves are equally good as Tiger Shroff’s. The story of the film is an age old concept, but the engaging factor in the screenplay with some performances of Nawazuddin Siddiqui make the film bearable. Tiger's dance and his fights will be exciting elements for Tiger's fans.
What didn't work?
The storyline of Munna Michael is very old. Right from the scene one, there is nothing new. Munna's repeated dance moves are another let down in the film. Weak screenplay with unconvincing twists leaves fans in disappointment.
What worked?
Nawazuddin's character is brilliant and his scenes with Tiger Shroff have worked well. Tiger Shroff's dance and action sequences have worked well, but there are hardly a few such scenes. Debutante Nidhhi's performance is brilliant and her acting doesn't look like this is her first film.
Well?
Munna Michael could have been much better, but the weak screenplay and an unconvincing storyline are a big letdown of the film.
