A 3D digital meeting was set up by the makers of Superstar Rajinikanth’s 2.0 at a popular star hotel in Chennai, today, 5th of July.

Speaking at the event, Raju Mahalingam, the Creative Head of Lyca Productions said, 2.0 is made at a budget of 400 crores and is shot in 3D. We will be conducting an event like this throughout India to spread awareness among people and theatre owners about the importance of 3D.

There are 20000 plus 3D screens in China, but unfortunately, in India, we only have 1500 screens that are compatible to screen 3D films.

Because of this GST issue, Lyca Headquarters have asked us not to sign any films in India for the time being.”

Lyca Production was earlier said to produce Vijay-AR Murugadoss film but later it was reported that Sun Pictures might fund it. Does Raju Mahalingam's word assure us that they would not be involved in the Vijay-ARM film? We will need more information before jumping to a conclusion.
