Priyanka Chopra in her recent inter to a Bollywood media said there should be equality for women in the film industry and the filmmakers should give equal importance to female characters.
The actress said the next generation filmmakers should set the standard of gender equality in the films and if this happens, there would be quality in films. PCee also said, glamours and entertainment will not be the only take away for audiences in future, and there will be strong demand in character oriented films with a realistic feel, and the makers can only accomplish if there is no compromise and gender equality. Talking about this, the actress said she has also started to choose films which have equal importance and with no gender biased.
