Bollywood director and music composer Vishal Bharadwaj saw a lot of success regarding his music and also his directorial ventures. Vishal is well known for his Shakespearean trilogy, with the adaptations of Macbeth, Othello, and Hamlet respectively in Maqbool, Omkara, and Haider.
The director has now said that if he ever makes a film based on Shakespeare's King Lear, his first choice to play the lead would be superstar Rajinikanth. In an interaction with the press, he has apparently said that before working on Haider, he was writing a script for the adaptation of King Lear with Rajinikanth in mind to play the role. He also added that he would be concentrating on music for a while and if he ever chooses to do the film, he will approach Rajini to play the King.
